Art by Rio Sebastian
This original watercolor artwork of Catriona Gray is on exhibit at the celebration of the 125th anniversary of Philippine Independence, organized by the association of Filipino-French community in Midi-Pyrénées, France.
Catriona Gray is the winner of the Miss Universe 2018 beauty pageant. She is a model, singer, beauty queen, television personality, youth advocate and arts ambassador.
What makes her stand out from the rest is her artistic inclinations and the sincerity and dedication in her advocacies. During the pageant, she designed her own clothes and jewelry, which made such an impression to the world. She even had her own version of the catwalk called, The lava walk, inspired by the lava prints on the gown that she herself also designed. She is a real inspiration.
The Philippines take pride of their beautiful women, and they show their appreciation by way of support in beauty pageants.

Hi I’m Rio! I’m originally from the Philippines, but I have lived and worked in Singapore as an I.T. Engineer for almost ten years, and then moved to Toulouse, France with my family since 2017.
As a watercolor artist, I had no formal training. I have only self-learned to paint via tutorials on the internet. Back in the early 2000’s, I took a crash course in photography back in the Philippines, and took a short course on Drawing at La Salle College of the Arts in Singapore in 2014.
